Pull Up a Stool for the PR After Hours Podcast

AGPR announces a new, PR-centric podcast with a distinctly laid-back vibe, PR After Hours. The show is what you might expect from the title: PR After Hours is a virtual “happy hour” where listeners can talk a little shop in the relaxed atmosphere of a lounge.

Your virtual “mixologist” is Alex Greenwood, AGPR founder and managing principal, a 26-year veteran of the PR and Marketing industry. A former TV executive and radio host, Alex has podcasted since 2006 and is a sought-after speaker and expert who loves sharing his passion for PR.

“Every week, we offer a fresh concoction of public relations, marketing, and business management tips with a mildly “happy hour” vibe, as if you are having a cocktail or a mocktail with a veteran public relations professional,” Greenwood said. “I have a background in radio and podcasting, and I have been itching to offer a show like this, aimed at the business owner or professional on the go. I try to keep each episode under fifteen minutes, where I introduce a topic, share some info, and then offer my take on the topic. In the time it takes to enjoy a drink, listeners learn something new.”

Besides weekly tips and takes from Alex, the podcast features interviews featuring business advice from entrepreneurs and leading thinkers in PR, marketing, and business.

Greenwood often cross-posts excerpts from interviews on his long-running creativity podcast, Mysterious Goings On (MGO). “The intersection of creativity and the arts with mainstream business is very real, so it’s great to share clips from my long-form MGO interviews with creative people in all industries and disciplines with the PR After Hours audience, as well.”

He added that he tries to post at least two shows a week, but leaves the door open to more. “I’d love to post four or five shows a week, but that takes time and energy I don’t have at the moment. However, that doesn’t preclude me from posting more than a couple of shows a week every now and then, schedule allowing.”

Listeners are invited to ask PR-related questions of Alex, either by recording a message on their smartphone and sending it in or via Twitter at @HoursPR.

The show is hosted and sponsored by Anchor.FM, which distributes it to numerous podcast outlets, listed below. For more information, including sponsorship details, show notes, and guest submissions, visit PRAfterHours.com.
