With more than 28 years of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, and broadcasting, Alex Greenwood has cultivated a reputation for innovative success. His diversified career encompasses industries like broadcasting, healthcare, non-profits, and higher education.
Alex has served in varied news media roles, such as editor, journalist, and radio talk show host. His executive roles include Vice President of Kansas City Public Television and Director of Marketing and Public Relations for KCRiverFest, one of Kansas City’s largest community festivals. Leveraging this wealth of experience, Alex founded AlexanderG Public Relations, LLC (now AGPR) in 2010.
As a trusted consultant to CEOs, college presidents, broadcasting executives, and political leaders, Alex has honed his expertise in media relations, strategic messaging, marketing, and crisis communication. His credentials include a Hubspot certification in inbound marketing and sales, Catalyst’s “Unconscious Bias: From Awareness to Action” certification, and graduation from the elite Sandler Sales Training President’s Club.
Alex regularly shares social media advice on television in Kansas City and Des Moines. He hosts two podcasts: PR After Hours and Mysterious Goings On.
An accomplished author, Alex has penned eleven books. His works include The Podcast Option, a top-selling guide drawn from his 17 years as a podcast producer, host, and guest, Kickstarter Success Secrets, a popular crowdfunding ebook and audiobook, and the award-winning John Pilate Mystery Series.
In his free time, Alex enjoys writing, hiking, spending time with his family, and planning his next journey—whether it’s to a serene beach or a reputedly haunted hotspot.
